How Openpay works

Everything about Openpay in one place: accounts, cards, payments, fees, security and the $OPN token.

Overview

Openpay is a money app for businesses and creators. You get one dashboard to hold balances, issue virtual cards, send money, send invoices and payment links, and see every movement in live reports.

Openpay is a technology company, not a bank. Accounts, cards and payment services are provided through Whop and its partners.

How it works

Openpay is the layer you use. The money itself moves on regulated infrastructure underneath it.

YouYour business, your team, your customers
OpenpayThe app: dashboard, cards, invoices, payment links, reports
WhopAccounts, identity verification, payments, payouts and transfers
PartnersCard issuing, card networks, payment processing and crypto rails

When you sign in, you sign in with Whop. Openpay acts on your account only with the permissions you grant. Openpay never holds your money directly: balances sit with Whop and its partners.

Accounts & balances

Home shows your total balance, your holdings by currency, and your recent activity. Four actions are always one click away:

  • Deposit adds money to your account.
  • Send moves money to another person or business.
  • Convert swaps between the currencies you hold.
  • Withdraw moves money out to your bank or wallet.

Cards

Create a virtual card in a couple of clicks: one per subscription, vendor or teammate.

  • Spending limits on every card.
  • Freeze any card instantly, and unfreeze it when you're ready.
  • Card activity shows every transaction per card.

Cards are issued through Whop's card partners and become available once your account is verified.

Payments & invoices

  • Invoices: create, send and download a PDF. Customers pay by card from anywhere.
  • Payment links: share a link and get paid without building a checkout.
  • Send money to people and businesses from your balance.

Every payment lands in your activity feed as soon as it moves.

Reports

Reports show money in and money out over time. Filter your activity by type and date, and export it whenever you need it for accounting.

Fees

Payments, payouts, transfers and swaps carry the underlying fees of Whop and its partners. On some of these, such as payments you receive and crypto swaps, Openpay adds a small fee of its own on top. That is how Openpay earns money.

100% of the fees Openpay earns go to buying back $OPN. See $OPN token below.

Security

  • Verified accounts: identity and business verification is built in.
  • Sign in with Whop: Openpay never sees your Whop password.
  • Card controls: spending limits and instant freeze.
  • Real-time activity for every payment and transfer.

Openpay is a technology company, not a bank. Accounts, cards and payment services are provided through Whop and its partners. Openpay is not FDIC-insured.

$OPN token

$OPN is the Openpay token. It launched on pump.fun, on Solana.

The buyback

100% of the fees Openpay earns are directed to buying back $OPN on the open market. The more people use Openpay, the more fees there are, and the more $OPN gets bought back.

Good to know

  • You don't need $OPN to use Openpay.
  • $OPN is bought and held in your own Solana wallet, outside the Openpay app. Openpay doesn't sell, hold or custody $OPN for you.

$OPN is a crypto token on Solana. It is not equity, a deposit or a claim on Openpay, and its price can go to zero. Buybacks are made from fees Openpay actually earns. Not available inside the Openpay app. Not financial advice.
